When crafting partial dentures, clients can choose from a number of materials, including cobalt chrome, vinyl and acrylic. Cobalt chrome partial dentures are comfortable to wear and the best option for a partial denture. The precise fit and custom design can ensure the balance of the forces borne by the other remaining teeth and soft tissues is distributed evenly. This helps you to maintain good oral hygiene, which makes a positive impact on your overall health and wellbeing.

Acrylic partial dentures are designed to be a short term or transitional denture as they are easier to produce and alter. Generally these dentures are the most bulky and often require more muscle control.

Vinyl partial dentures are constructed without a metal plate, which makes them more flexible and lightweight. Vinyl also offers greater flexibility in colour and design, allowing them to blend naturally with your existing teeth and gums.

Denture Repairs

Alice Denture Clinic provides denture repairs for partial and complete dentures. Our in-house laboratory can minimise the amount of time you spend without your dentures. In many cases, we can complete dentures repairs the same day.

Broken or cracked dentures with missing or loose teeth require specialist care to fix. Rather than risking further damage by attempting to fix dentures yourself, please phone us to make an appointment.

Alice Denture Clinic can add teeth that have been lost or extracted to existing dentures. We can also add or replace clasps or acrylic to dentures as required.

Denture relines may be necessary if your denture begins to feel loose or is becoming painful. The reline procedure replaces the fitting surface, the surface that fits against your gum. The reline fills in any gaps in this surface and makes the denture fit more precisely.

A custom made mouthguard provides protection for teeth during contact sports. At Alice Denture Clinic, we custom make dual-layered sports mouthguards. Dual layered custom mouth guards are suitable for medium to high impact sports, helping to absorb impact and reduce damage to your teeth and gums.

We recommend having a mouthguard reviewed every 12 months, to ensure it fits correctly and offers the highest level of protection.
